New Jersey native GZQ started building a professional music career in 2016. First recognized by her catchy hooks and the potential in being successful with it. She began mixing and mingling with local talents in south New Jersey, where she resided doing hooks and features ultimately taking it across the bridge to Philadelphia.
Born (New Jersey October 31, 1989), GZQ was unique as a child always writing songs and wanting to be lead in the church choir. GZQ always knew music was in her blood because through out her growing up, all she could think about was music, and listening to some of her musical favs, such as Mary J. Blige, Nirvana, Lil Kim, and Denise Williams to name a few and a wide range of other genres. She became fascinated and in love with the different sounds of instruments that put a song together. In GZQ’s early 20s she began to become involved in many aspects of the music underground from joining a few music groups and a few small music business ventures. A few years later she dove into self studying the music business. Late 2016 she began learning producing and how to make beats. GZQ then started producing for a few local Philadelphia artists, when she open a small entertainment and recording studio business . GZQ Released 3 singles in mid to late 2018, and then took a hiatus until spring 2019 where she released her single RAVE and then to follow by Drunk in May. GZQ is now back in a major way.
GZQ launched a website GZQEMPIRE.COM in May 2019, for the world to experience all of what she’s all about. American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer and entrepreneur GZQ Released her first EP project Take it or Leave it in June 2019. After the release of her EP she started doing Indie Parties and having Artist Focus Fridays for local artist to show support back to the indie artists in Philly. After Covid-19 hit GZQ got back in the studio and Spring 2020 she released Find Me Stream Me and soon after F&M . Fall 2020 GZQ dropped another Ep titled 3131 . Currently she is working on new items and clothing designs for her online store. GZQ is in the pursuit of being a major influence to her generation in her own way, with her new redefined uptempo eclectic sound, catchy hooks and moving R&B songs. She is ready to reach the next level, and with her many talents she is willing to put forth time and effort to help motivate others in their own dreams. GZQ definitely is a force to be reckoned with by making her way on the scene , and doing it how she wants.
